If you ask a random person about Poco Lee, their response will probably range from “oh that guy that dances and is always in music videos…” to something like “that light-skinned guy who seeks attention by hanging with artists”.

Poco Lee, the crooner of the viral Poco dance video, whose impact on the music industry has been undermined more than once. Away from his love for expressing himself through his craft, dancing, Poco is a strong force to reckon with and by far, one of the fastest-growing hype men in Nigeria. As a matter of fact, if I’m asked, I’d say everyone needs a Poco Lee in their lives, and I’m sure friends like Bella Shmurda will absolutely concur.

Bella and Poco have been friends for a couple of years now, but we can all agree that Poco’s influence on his music career is worthy of accolades.

Bella Shmurda had his big break in the music industry back in the year 2019, after Ace Nigerian rapper, Olamide Baddo jumped on the remix of his debut track, “Vision 2020”.

By now you’re wondering, how did this happen. A young chap, fresh in the industry lands one of the biggest artists out of Nigeria on the remix of his debut song??? Well, this didn’t just magically happen. All thanks to Poco Lee who introduced Bella to Olamide in fulfilment of his promise to help his career.

This was only the beginning of greatness for Bella, as he soon caught the attention of other industry big dogs, who were willing to work with him after Poco constantly preached his talent.

Fast forward to December 2021, Poco Lee struck again. A viral video of an artist, identified as “Portable – Werey Olorin” surfaced on the internet and caught the attention of netizens. In the said video, we could see Portable holding on to veteran rapper, Olamide’s legs in gratitude after getting introduced to him by Poco Lee.

Apparently, his song, Zazu which according to reports was already a rising hit on the streets of Lagos caught the attention of Poco Lee, who in turn linked him up with the renowned rapper.

Shortly after, news broke out that Olamide jumped on Portable’s song “Zazu”, marking the rise of a new street.

The song, produced by the super talented beat maker, P.Priime which was released 5 days ago, got massive acceptance from fans. Portable has proven his potential of possibly becoming the next street king. He deployed a great level of positive energy on this record titled “Zazoo Zehh” and the reviews have been massive.

ZaZoo Zehh has been described as a song that oozes just the right amount of positive energy and vibe needed to wrap up the year and enjoy the festive period. It serves as a follow-up to Portable’s recently dropped song tagged “99 Spirit“.

As we speak, Zazoo Zehh is the latest trending song and slang on the streets of Lasgidi, as well as, social media. Already, Portable has been called on several stages to perform his signature song. A couple of nights back, he was called on stage to perform his hit track with the Queen of Afrobeat, Tiwa Savage, where they both danced and vibed to it. She ended up spraying him with wads of cash.

Portable later shared videos of their meeting on his Instagram handle with the caption; “I will like to thank the queen @tiwasavage for bringing me out tonight to represent the streetz! Na this kind energy dey ginger Werey Olorin o!

There was also a magical moment filmed where Tiwa drew Portable in for a big hug, indicating her endorsement. This is not something we experience every day in the world of music.

Last night Portable shared the stage with Wizkid, performed Zazoo Zehh alongside Olamide and Poco Lee at Wizkid’s Live In Concert Lagos Show.

Nonetheless, Poco may be the one doing the introduction, which by all means is worthy of acknowledgment, but without Olamide‘s acceptance to using his own influence as a musician, as a propeller for their prominence, we wouldn’t be having this conversation right now.  For years Baddo has constantly proven himself as the number 1 voice of the street despite suffering severe backlash from naysayers.  Who’s next???
