“TOBY REIN” UNVEILS NEW SINGLE “STAY SOLID”

Known for his dark melodic raps and amazing trap beats, “Toby Rein” is a promising hip hop recording artiste and music producer from Port Harcourt Nigeria. His music features a-lot of rhythmic rap flows delivered with so much energy and great vocal dexterity over dark toned ambient trap beats and afro-fused sounds.

He gained a-lot of recognition and attention in his home city Bayesla in the year 2019 when he freestyled on stage with one of the legendary acts in Nigerian dancehall music “Timaya” after reaching the final stage of the “Timaya Day” Talent Competition held December 2019. His production has been appreciated in the hip hop scenes of southern Nigeria as he has worked with and has upcoming projects with popular Nigeian rappers like Payper Corleone, DanDizzy, Alpha Ojini, Chiff Timz, Yawng Boss, B-Raiz and many others.

In his new single “Stay Solid”, he tries to express his pure thoughts on self consciousness, caution, meditation and reflection through his amazing delivery of hard core rap flows over the Gas Shawty produced instrumental. According to Toby Rein this track is meant to represent strength and motivation to youngsters dealing with pressure and anxiety in third world countries like Nigeria. The lyrics appreciates a-lot of self reflection, as he raps about being unbreakable and being true to one’s self.

Sonically “Stay Solid” is built on samples of ambient dark melodies, heavy bass and great looped trap drums. The song was produced by “Gas Shawty” along with mixing and mastering from popular Nigerian rap act and audio engineer “Alpha Ojini” while the executive production was handled by “Toby Rein” himself.
