With its upgraded AI Camera 3.0 algorithm and AI Scene Detection, users will transform their photography experience: elevating the quality of photos they take, and making full use of the phone’s six flashes– including four which are situated around the rear camera with dual front camera flash. Since its inception, Hennessy has successfully launched the careers of some talented artists in the Nigerian music industry through the Hennessy Artistry VS Class. Due to the global pandemic, the brand re-engineered the mechanics around the VS Class, maintaining its commitment to discovering new and budding hip Hop talents.

The platform released a call for entries in January, which was received with an overwhelming number of audition videos from all over the country. The Hennessy VS Class-master, Vector, and Judge MI were responsible for vetting these entries, and 24 artists whose entries showed talent and promise were selected.

The next few weeks will see these 24 aspiring artists compete to emerge winner of the Hennessy VS Class season VII. Joining Vector and MI as guest judges will be: Celebrated rapper, Teeto Ceemos, A & R Expert, Alexander Okeke, Ace Music Producer, Chopstix, The versatile Falz the bahd guy, Legendary rapper Jesse Jagz.

With 4 episodes airing every Tuesday from March 9th on the Hennessy Nigeria YouTube page, we will watch the 24 finalists compete for a spot on the final episode. A couple of days ago, Daniel Ek, the co-founder of Spotify, one of the world’s leading music streaming platforms, announced at its online-only Stream On the event that it would be expanding to 85 new markets across Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

Spotify also announced that it would offer both Spotify Free and Spotify Premium plans. Individual, Family, Duo, and Student Spotify plans will be available in selected markets. Listeners in new markets will get to access Spotify on mobile apps and in the browser. Apps for TV, consoles, speakers, wearables, and cars will be launched later in the year. The main aim of this expansion is to acquire a billion more users.

Before this announcement, the premium streaming service had only been available in 9 countries: Europe, the Americas, Oceania, some parts of Africa, and Asia. Despite being the biggest exporter of music in Africa, Nigeria was one of the countries that had no access to this streaming platform.

Users worldwide can comfortably listen, enjoy, and discover more unique sounds peculiar to Nigerian music.
